The Data Governance Office is ramping up and the Data Analytics Governance team needs a Team Lead to organize and champion the Analytics Governance program and mechanisms.

The Data Governance Office sits within the Analytics Data and Information Management directorate (ADIM) and works closely with the Data and Science and Analytics section to align and deliver the governance required for all data products and projects deployed throughout the Organization. The Data Governance Office sits within the Open Government and Data Governance branch, which directorate reports to the CDO.

The Data Governance Office works in partnership with stakeholders and the various data stewards being established in our Organization.

The Team Lead will work closely with the two other teams within the DG Office: Policy and Stewardship/Literacy, to embed technical aspects of data governance, to support policy creation, the stewards and technical data literacy.

The job description and org chart are in the process for approval and stability is on its way for finalizing indeterminately this team.

Tasks include:

- Manage human resources, organize work, coordinate efforts, align tasks with other teams in our unit

- Communicate and translate in simple terms complexities about analytics concepts and practices

- Assess analytics quality controls to consider, including feasibility, and implement

- Organize intake process, form and response for data quality issues and remediation

- Contribute to the analytics content of policy instruments

- Engage with stewards for analytics quality and governance requirements, organize and facilitate remediation consultations and activities

- Review data models, architectures, processes, metadata, integration for potential data governance imbedding

- Provide data governance advisory for the data platform and business intelligence solution to partners and stewards
